We are a Consumer Directed In-Home Health Care Services agency. It is our goal to continuously provide quality service to our clients in the comfort of their home. Magdala Home Health Care Services, LLC has a genuine passion to support the elderly and adults with disabilities live successfully while living independently. 

Meet Our Executive Team:  

Mary M. Adou Gbougbo, Founder and CEO

Mary has  over 20 year's of experience working with special population groups and individuals, Mary has developed a resume with a unique blend of experience in education, business, social services, advocacy, social justice, public speaking, non-profit and ministry. She developed and oversaw the operations of several programs that served community groups in the areas of Homeless Prevention, Supplemental Education Services and After School Summer Feeding. She has been a public speaker on subject matters related to Health and Wellness, Obesity, Childhood Trauma and Abuse, Autism, Homeless Prevention, Mental Illness and Foster/Adoptive Parenting. She is passionate about health and wellness and is currently pursuing a dual certification in Group Fitness and Health Coaching through The American Council on Exercise (ACE). She enjoys a vegan lifestyle, loves to write poetry and is currently developing her first literary community project. She is a wife and a mother of four children. She holds a BA in Journalism from Florida A&M University and a MA in Christian Ministry, Apologetics from Missouri Baptist University.

Miriam A. Townsend, Director of Operations

Miriam holds an MBA and is an experienced teacher and educator with more than 20 years of experience in education, business and political affairs. As the Director of Operations, she lends her expertise and several years’ experience working as a Corporate Controller, Financial Analyst, and Internal Auditor for Fortune 10 corporations. She has developed college courses and has been an Adjunct Business Faculty for the following colleges: Temple University (Philadelphia, PA), Harris Stowe University (St. Louis, MO), University of Pittsburg – Art Institute Online, University of Phoenix – Online. Miriam has also worked as a Supplemental Educational Services provider in North Carolina. Miriam holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Webster University and Bachelor of Science in Business from Florida A&M University. Miriam A. Townsend is a visionary who has great plans business expansion. Miriam has assisted several organizations with becoming fiscally and budget-friendly, and predictable departments. She brings integrity and compassion for people, especially the disabled and elderly population, having to become the caregiver of her elderly father after the sudden death of her mother. Miriam has provided exceptional care for him, becoming his provider to ensure he is able to age in place and enjoy life in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones. Assuming this role will allow her to support and oversee the care that is provided for our elderly and persons with physical disabilities. Miriam will contribute strong creative, problem-solving, and analytical skills as well as a passion for providing excellent customer services to Magdala Home Health Care Services, LLC consumers. She enjoys working with a diverse population and is detailed-oriented as well as an excellent multi-tasker.

Both Mary and Miriam believe they have a personal responsibility to deliver excellence service in order to help their clients to remain independent.
